Full Stack Software Engineer – AI Onboarding Start-Up (Fully-Remote | UK/Europe Timezone | Competitive Salary) We’re an early-stage AI start-up building a new category: an AI-powered onboarding agent for SaaS companies. Our product spans from Chrome extension, web automation SDK, to web application. We have strong backing from Antler, a Singapore-based VC and are beginning to scale our team. With our MVP already live, we’re now searching for a Full Stack Engineer to join the core team – someone ambitious, technically exceptional, and ready to help build the company from the ground up. This is a 6-month contract role with a pathway into a full-time role. Kulu’s mission is to reinvent how SaaS companies onboard their users. We’re building AI agents for web automation. The engineering team is led by PhD founder with deep machine learning expertise. Backed by venture capital and with a clear product roadmap, we’re moving fast to shape how onboarding looks in the AI era. Tasks You’ll work closely with the founding team to: Build and enhance both frontend and backend components of the product Integrate AI features into real-time onboarding workflows Contribute to scalable architecture, deployment, and testing Help shape and deliver new features that push the boundaries of web automation and onboarding Requirements We’re looking for a full stack engineer with proven, hands-on expertise across our stack, and the ability to wear multiple hats in a fast-moving environment: 4+ years of experience building and shipping full-stack products end-to-end Strong fundamentals in Python, TypeScript, and database design Proven track record of shipping in fast-paced, product-driven environments Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into production workflows AI-native developer: you already code daily with Cursor, Claude, Windsurf, or similar tools to move faster Able to jump between frontend, backend, SDKs, infra, and live debugging — thriving on variety and context-switching Super fast learner Web automation experience (e.g., Puppeteer, Playwright, or DOM-level scripting) is a strong plus Other key requirements: Strong english language proficiency Willingness to match UK timezone Willingness to relocate to Bali in the future where we plan to establish a permanent engineering office Tech Stack Frontend: JavaScript / TypeScript, React, Vite (or similar). Ability to design scalable, reusable SDK components. Experience with DOM interaction and web automation (e.g., Puppeteer, Playwright). Backend: Python (FastAPI), building and scaling production-grade APIs (REST, WebSockets). Hands-on with Supabase (Postgres) — schema design, query optimization, and data modeling for scale. DevOps: CI/CD pipelines (Vercel, Render, GitHub Actions), automated testing, and cloud deployments. AI: Practical experience integrating third-party AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic). AI-native workflow: highly proficient with AI-powered IDEs and coding accelerators (Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude, etc.) to move fast and deliver efficiently.
