Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Full-Stack Developer (React.js + .NET Core) to help evolve and maintain our web reading application and the backend services that power it. You'll work with a small, experienced team to deliver new features end-to-end, enhance performance, and ensure a great user experience across modern browsers.

Key Responsibilities


Build, maintain, and improve our React.js web application.


Design, implement, and maintain ASP.NET Core services and APIs (REST/gRPC), including authentication, business logic, and integrations.


Collaborate with two senior developers and a Project Manager to ship high-quality, end-to-end features.


Debug and optimize performance across frontend and backend; instrument and monitor for reliability.


Work with databases, caching, and data models; write efficient queries and migrations.


Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions across frontend and backend.


Occasionally engage with non-technical stakeholders or other departments.
Tech Stack
Frontend (Web): React, TypeScript; TanStack; HtmlParser; SCSS, Tailwind, animationsBackend: .NET Core (ASP.NET Core), C#, Entity Framework CoreAPIs & Services: REST, gRPC; integration with external servicesData & Storage: MariaDB (server-side); client state with TanStack QueryTooling & Ops: CI/CD, logging/monitoring (Sentry/Data Dog)Familiarity with accessibility and cross-browser nuances is a strong plus.

Ideal Candidate


5+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years with React.js and strong experience with .NET Core/ASP.NET Core.


Solid JavaScript/TypeScript and C# skills; understands web performance best practices (bundling, code-splitting, caching).


Experience building complex applications with rich business logic end-to-end.


Comfortable designing/consuming APIs, integrating external services, and working with relational databases (EF Core).


Experience with animations and a solid understanding of web UI/UX and accessibility principles.


Knowledge of testing (unit/integration/E2E), OAuth, security fundamentals, and CI/CD.

Independent, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Background or passion for literature, web novels, or online publishing.

Interview Process
Phone Screening: Conducted by our recruiter; evaluates communication skills, technical fundamentals, and relevant coding experience.Optional Code Assignment: Based on the screening results, some candidates may be asked to complete a LIVE coding task.Technical Interview: A 60-minute session with the engineering lead focused on architecture, mobile-specific challenges, and familiarity with our tech stack.Offer Stage: Final discussion to review fit, expectations, and compensation. A job offer may be extended during this step.
