As an Fulfillment Center Sorter, you will play a crucial role in the delivery process, ensuring that customer orders are prepared and loaded onto delivery vehicles accurately and efficiently. You will work in a fast-paced environment, receiving and sorting inventory, and preparing it for delivery to customers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Proper labeling and sealing of inventory is essential to prevent damage, tampering, and loss during transit
Deploy cutting-edge technologies such as smartphones and hand-held devices to streamline, verify, and package orders
The construction, packaging, categorization, and shipment of pallets and parcels are essential duties
Lift and transport parcels that weigh 49 lbs or less
Receive truck deliveries
Whether you're using a computer program, a smartphone app, or a kiosk at a public facility, the ability to view prompts and instructions on screens is a valuable tool for users of all experience levels
Be sure to stand up straight, walk with intention, apply pressure, draw nearer, lower yourself down, flex your knees, and extend your reach as you perform your tasks
Moving items may be made easier by incorporating carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other mobile equipment
Use stairways to move both upwards and downwards (if accessible)
Execute work operations at a height of 40 feet on an elevated structure like a mezzanine (where relevant)
