This is an online, remote contract role with opportunities to create additional videos over the next 6-12 months.
Project Description
The FTCE YouTube Video project is designed to offer accurate and helpful information, study tips, and content knowledge about FTCE exams for students and teachers in Florida preparing to take their exams. You will create bite-size videos about FTCE exams, sharing your own experience and also providing informational overviews. You will be provided with a video outline or script to create videos that provide tips and strategies to help future teachers pass their exams. As part of our mission to impact accessibility for future Florida teachers, you'll be responsible for:
Create informational videos for FTCE test prep using a provided outline or script
Instruct current and future teachers on specific content areas on the FTCE
Share your experience with taking and passing the FTCE
Prioritize videos for high-demand topics on the FTCE
Required:
Candidates must be certified to teach in Florida, have teaching experience, and submit a sample video in order to be considered for this project. Candidates who do not submit a sample video will not be considered.
Education: Bachelor's degree
Certification: Florida teaching license and experience passing FTCE
Experience: Teaching any subject
Skills: Fluency in writing, speaking, and reading
Equipment: External microphone or headphones with a microphone, high quality webcam or smartphone, stylus or tablet for writing on-screen
Competency: Engaging on-screen presence
Communication: This role requires reliable judgment, strong communication skills, and being responsive to feedback.
Preferred:
Master's degree in Education
Video creation/upload experience
Experience passing multiple FTCE Subject Area Examinations
Experience with Wistia, Smartsheet
