Frontend React Engineer - Contract
About the position
We are looking for a talented Frontend/React JavaScript Developer to join our growing Tech Holding family. You will work alongside a team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our web applications. If you are a self-starter who has a passion for pushing web applications to the limit and leveraging the latest technologies and tools, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities
ā¢ Be a critical thinker who can anticipate potential pitfalls and suggest improvements.
ā¢ Take ownership of your code, and ensure that the acceptance criteria is met and verified before sending the ticket to QA
ā¢ Reviewing application requirements and interface designs.
ā¢ Translate UI/UX designs into pixel-accurate web-based interfaces.
ā¢ Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using react concepts.
ā¢ Build new features from the ground up or help enhance and maintain existing projects.
ā¢ Collaborate with onsite and offshore engineering teams to produce clean reusable code, and assist in code reviews.
ā¢ Work with backend engineers to discuss API and data requirements needed to power frontend web applications.
ā¢ Assist the QA team by validating bugs and providing fixes in a timely manner.
ā¢ Participate in architecture discussions and provide feedback on how to build or improve application performance.
ā¢ Write unit and integration tests.
Requirements
ā¢ 3+ Years active development experience with React JS
ā¢ 3+ years of experience with JavaScript programming, JSON, REST, etc.
ā¢ Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
ā¢ Great verbal and written communication skills.
ā¢ Understanding of and experience with multiple phases of software development lifecycles/methodologies in an Agile/SCRUM environment
ā¢ Demonstrated the ability to meet deadlines and complete tickets based on the agreed estimations.
ā¢ Be an excellent learner that can work without much guidance
ā¢ In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
ā¢ Knowledge of Experience with Redux Toolkit, and Hooks.
ā¢ Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing frameworks such as Enzyme, Mocha, and Jest.
ā¢ Time management and organizational skills
ā¢ Have a good understanding of using git and the gitflow workflow for source control management and versioning.
Nice-to-haves
ā¢ Knowledge of Typescript is a plus.
ā¢ Knowledge of Node.js is a plus.
ā¢ Familiarity with mobile emulators and tools to ensure web application compatibility on mobile devices
ā¢ Familiarity with Cloud Services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
