Front-End / Full Stack JavaScript Developer (AI-Enabled) - 4-6 years of experience
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid - 2-3 days in the office per week)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Industry: Financial Services / Asset Management
Salary: $110,000-$130,000 + Bonus
About the Role
• We are seeking a front-end-focused JavaScript Developer to join a growing development team supporting enterprise applications within a financial services environment.
• This role is approximately 70% front-end development with exposure to back-end systems.
• The ideal candidate is a strong JavaScript developer who enjoys building data-driven applications, solving real-world problems, and leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• You'll work on both new development and enhancements to existing applications, collaborating closely with other developers in a fast-moving environment.
What You'll Do
• Build and enhance enterprise web applications using modern JavaScript
• Develop interactive, data-intensive user interfaces
• Work with large datasets and advanced grid/table components (e.g., AgGrid)
• Troubleshoot and resolve front-end and data-related issues
• Write and execute SQL queries to investigate application behavior
• Support multiple projects simultaneously (new development and maintenance)
• Collaborate with backend teams working in Java Spring Boot microservices
• Occasionally communicate with business users to clarify requirements
AI-Enabled Development (Required)
We are looking for developers who actively use AI tools as part of their Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including:
• AI-assisted coding (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar)
• AI-driven test generation
• AI-supported code review or optimization
• Using AI to troubleshoot errors, refactor code, or improve performance
• Automating documentation or development workflows with AI
Candidates should be comfortable working in a modern, AI-assisted development environment.
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong experience with JavaScript (core/vanilla)
• Experience building enterprise or data-heavy web applications
• Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries
• Understanding of APIs and backend integration
• Exposure to Java and Spring Boot (working knowledge is sufficient)
• 4-6+ years of professional software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
Preferred Experience
• Experience with AgGrid or similar enterprise data components
• Background in financial services, banking, insurance, or asset management
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Familiarity with cloud-based databases (e.g., Snowflake)
