Job Summary:

A Guest Services Agent is responsible for greeting and registering guests and checking guests out of the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
Ā• Greet guests and complete the registration process, including inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest information and room rate, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet, and ensuring guests know the location of their room.
Ā• Assist guests with check-out, ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted for, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording various forms of payment, converting foreign currency, making change, and processing gift certificates and cards.
Ā• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information including room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, the local area, and other general product knowledge, and answer guest questions and inquiries.
Ā• Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities to maximize room occupancy.
Ā• Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner, resolving issues and negotiating solutions for guest satisfaction.
Ā• Receive, input, retrieve, and relay messages to guests.

Qualifications:
Ā• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
Ā• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ā• Ability to use computer systems and POS terminals effectively.
Ā• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ā• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
