Freight Forwarding Operations Coordinator (Air/Ocean Import Export) – Remote – Chinese Required
About the Company
We are a growing international logistics and freight forwarding company specializing in global air and ocean transportation. Our team supports customers across North America and Asia with customized supply chain solutions.
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Freight Forwarding Operations Coordinator with at least 3 years of hands-on experience handling international air and ocean shipments.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate international air and ocean import/export shipments from booking through final delivery
• Communicate daily with customers, consignees, airlines, ocean carriers, and trucking companies
• Track shipments and provide proactive shipment updates
• Arrange cargo bookings, inland transportation, and delivery scheduling
• Prepare and review shipping documentation including HAWB/HBL, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork
• Assist with carrier rate coordination and space management
• Perform accurate data entry, billing preparation, and freight cost calculations
• Support reporting tasks and help improve operational processes
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Freight Forwarding Operations (Air & Ocean Import/Export)
• Strong knowledge of U.S. import/export procedures and shipping documentation
• Excellent communication and time management skills in a remote work environment
• Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced setting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and logistics operating systems
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience handling Dangerous Goods shipments
• Experience working with Asia–U.S. trade lanes
Work Schedule
• Full-time, 8-hour shift
• Work schedule will be arranged around daily coordination meetings with teams in China (typically around 9:30 PM China Time)
• Candidates from any U.S. time zone are welcome to apply
Equipment & Work Arrangement
• This is a fully remote position
• The company will provide a laptop and necessary work equipment
• Candidates located in the Chicago area may occasionally assist with document pickup if needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
