As a Part-Time Content Writer, you will help define our brand voice and engage our ideal clients through compelling articles and blog posts. Your primary responsibility will be creating high-quality content for our website, with opportunities to contribute to email campaigns and other marketing initiatives. You will work closely with internal teams to produce clear, engaging, and SEO-friendly content that educates, informs, and connects with our audience. Responsibilities • Write, edit, and publish engaging website content, including articles and blog posts. • Create content for email letters and marketing campaigns, as needed. • Optimize content for SEO to improve search visibility and organic traffic. • Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and brand voice across all content. • Collaborate with internal teams to align content with business and marketing goals. • Manage assigned content timelines and contribute to the editorial calendar. • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target audiences. • Review content performance and apply insights to improve future content. • Stay updated on content marketing best practices, SEO trends, and digital platforms. Requirements • Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating effectively within the organization. • A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent work experience will also be considered. • Proven experience in content writing, content marketing, or a similar role. (NOTE: Provide a link to your portfolio within your resume.) • Pro-active and solution-focused, with solid knowledge of SEO principles and best practices. • Experience writing for websites, blogs, and email campaigns. • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), including WordPress and other platforms. • Excellent writing and editing abilities, paired with attention to detail and a readiness to stay current with evolving trends. • The ability to analyze content performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly makes strong critical thinking essential. • Strong research skills and ability to translate industry trends into engaging content. • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment. • Adaptability to work within Eastern Standard Time (EST) for efficient collaboration. • Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite are a plus, but not required.
