Job Summary
Freelancer is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Freelance Video Editor to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through video and the technical expertise to produce high-quality content for a variety of digital platforms. As a freelance video editor, you will collaborate with clients and internal teams to transform raw footage into polished, engaging videos that meet brand guidelines and captivate audiences. Key Responsibilities
• Edit and assemble raw video footage into compelling, visually appealing content suitable for digital platforms, social media, and promotional campaigns.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and creative teams to understand project goals and requirements.
• Add graphics, animations, visual effects, and sound design as needed to enhance video quality.
• Ensure final video outputs meet technical specifications, deadlines, and brand standards.
• Maintain organized project files and media libraries for easy access and future use.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in video editing, post-production techniques, and software tools.
• Provide creative input to improve the visual storytelling and overall quality of video projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Proven experience in video editing, motion graphics, or post-production.
• Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, color grading, and audio mixing.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail and a keen eye for visual composition.
Experience
• Minimum 1–3 years of professional experience in video editing or a related field.
• Experience with freelance or remote work is a plus.
• Portfolio showcasing previous video editing projects, including social media, corporate, or promotional videos.
Working Hours
• Fully remote and flexible schedule.
• Ability to manage workload independently and meet project deadlines.
• Availability for occasional virtual meetings or client calls may be required.
