Project Background and Role:

PQMD's Aligned Metrics Initiative (AMI) focuses on improving how the impact of donated medical products are measured and communicated. This project brings together corporate, NGO, and implementing partners. Over the past year, our working group has developed a framework, indicators, measures and supporting guidance materials.
The technical content is ready for launch.
PQMD is not seeking substantial revisions to the framework, indicators, measures, or technical content.

What we need now is a skilled creative partner to transform approximately 70 pages of existing materials into a cohesive, beautifully designed, practical and intuitive toolkit that is easy to navigate for every kind of user... whether they read cover to cover or jump straight to the module they need.

This is a remote, contract role for a Freelance UX/Knowledge Product Designer . The designer will lead the user-centered design and create the information architecture of PQMD’s digital toolkit products, shaping how global health practitioners intuitively access and use the toolkit resources.

Deliverables:
• A branded, professional, user-friendly, launch-ready digital toolkit that enables organizations to understand, apply, and utilize the AMI framework and metrics
• A modular structure that allows easy navigation and application of toolkit content
• Beautiful visuals, graphics, icons, and supporting design assets as needed
• Final production files suitable for launch and accommodate future updates
• Editable source files, design files, graphics, templates, and working documents

The ideal person brings expertise in:
• UX and human-centered design
• Toolkit and knowledge product design for digital and interactive platforms
• Information architecture by organizing complex content into clear, intuitive navigation
• Graphic design and publication layout that makes content compelling and accessible
• Instructional design and technical content translation for diverse audiences
• Global health, international development, or nonprofit communications

This is the kind of project where thoughtful user experience and design directly shape how organizations around the world measure and communicate real impact. We're looking for a partner who brings both the craft and the commitment to achieve this together.
Timeline:

This is an accelerated 4-week engagement with final deliverables due July 17, 2026, ahead of the AMI launch on July 28, 2026.
