FREELANCE PROOFREADER
Location: Remote (EST availability preferred)
Job Type: 6 Months Contract 10+ hours/week (flexible, may expand to 20)
Compensation Range: $30 - 36 per hour
We are seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Remote Part-Time Proofreader to join our team. This is an ongoing, part-time position requiring approximately 10+ hours per week, with a flexible schedule during EST business hours.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Proofread a wide range of content, including:
ā¢ Digital copy (emails, website content, social media)
ā¢ Marketing collateral (brochures, presentations, promotional materials)
ā¢ Technical files (reports, manuals, industry documents)
ā¢ Correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors.
ā¢ Ensure accuracy of facts, figures, and terminology across documents.
ā¢ Apply style guidelines and maintain consistency in brand voice.
ā¢ Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to resolve discrepancies.
ā¢ Provide feedback to improve content clarity and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
ā¢ 5+ years of professional proofreading experience (regulated industry experience strongly preferred: pharmaceuticals, biotech, healthcare, legal, or finance).
ā¢ Exceptional attention to detail with mastery of English grammar and syntax.
ā¢ Experience proofreading technical, marketing, and digital content.
ā¢ Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines independently.
ā¢ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
ā¢ Must use own equipment and be comfortable working fully remote.
