Freelance Interior Designer for Remodeling Contractor (Fast Turnaround, Finish Selections)

• *Overview:** CasaKeepers Design & Remodel is a residential design-build remodeling company based in Texas. We’re looking for a **reliable freelance interior designer** to support active remodeling projects with **specific, client-ready finish selections** on a per-project basis. This is not speculative or conceptual design work. These are **real homes with construction timelines**, and we need designers who can move quickly, stay organized, and make confident, buildable selections. --- ### What This Role Looks Like Projects will vary in size and scope, but typically include: • Kitchen remodels • Bathroom remodels • Whole-home or partial-home renovations • Accurate Cabinet plans with elevations and renderings. Each project is different. Sometimes you’ll jump in early to help finalize finishes; other times you’ll be supporting a project already underway that needs selections tightened up fast. --- ### Primary Responsibilities Depending on the project, you may be asked to: • Select **specific finishes** (tile, slab material, flooring, cabinetry style and layout, countertops, plumbing fixtures, hardware, paint colors, lighting etc) • Create **clear, client-ready selection boards or schedules** • Work within **real-world constraints** (budget, availability, lead times) • Coordinate selections to support construction documents and ordering • Turn feedback quickly (often within days, not weeks) --- ### What We’re Prioritizing • **Fast turnaround** — responsiveness matters • **Decisive finish selections**, not endless options • Experience with **remodeling constraints** (existing homes, trades, substitutions) • Ability to work from partial direction (you won’t always get a clean slate) • Strong attention to detail and organization --- ### What This Is *Not* • This is not purely conceptual or “Pinterest-only” design work • This is not staging or décor styling • This is not a full-time role (project-based, ongoing as a contractor) --- ### Ideal Candidate • Interior designer experienced with **residential remodels** • Comfortable collaborating with a construction team • Familiar with real product specs, not just visuals • Able to work independently and hit deadlines without hand-holding --- ### How We’ll Start We plan to: • Start with **one paid test project** • If it’s a good fit, continue with ongoing work across multiple clients --- ### To Apply Please include: 1.
