Freelance Illustrator (Conceptual / Editorial) — Gap International
Gap International, a global consulting firm focused on driving extraordinary performance, is seeking a freelance illustrator to create compelling, concept-driven visuals for our weekly email and insights series.
This role is ideal for an illustrator who excels at translating abstract ideas into clear, engaging imagery and enjoys collaborating closely with writers to bring thought leadership content to life.
What You’ll Do
- Create original illustrations on a weekly basis for our insights and email series
- Translate complex, conceptual business ideas into visually striking, accessible imagery
- Collaborate directly with copywriters and internal teams to interpret and elevate written content
- Iterate on concepts based on feedback, often within tight timelines
- Ensure visual consistency with Gap International’s brand and tone
What We’re Looking For
- Strong portfolio of conceptual or editorial illustration work (business, thought leadership, or publication experience a plus)
- Ability to think abstractly and visually interpret nuanced ideas
- Experience working collaboratively with writers, editors, or creative teams
- Reliability and responsiveness in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Flexibility in style while maintaining a cohesive visual voice
- Comfort working remotely and managing ongoing weekly deliverables
Nice to Have
- Experience creating illustrations for consulting firms, media publications, or B2B audiences
- Familiarity with brand systems and adapting illustrations to fit established visual identities
Engagement Details
- Freelance / ongoing weekly engagement
- Scope: 1–2 illustrations per week (may vary)
- Remote, with collaboration via email and virtual meetings
