Freelance Health Coach & Wellness Workshop Facilitator

We empower individuals and organizations through award‑winning programs, and we're expanding our team. We are seeking a dynamic Freelance Health Coach to provide virtual one‑on‑one and group health coaching. This role also involves leading engaging virtual workshops on diverse health and well‑being topics and contributing to business development within the wellness industry. As a coach, you'll inspire behavior change in areas like tobacco cessation, weight management, nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, and mental/emotional well‑being. You'll review health assessments, develop action plans, and work with participants at all stages of change, primarily via phone and video. As a facilitator, you'll deliver interactive workshops using our provided materials. For business development, you'll leverage your industry insight to identify and cultivate opportunities for program expansion. This is a contingent independent contractor position, ideal for those seeking flexible work. Estimated hours are 15‑20/week during peak season (Nov‑Mar) and 10‑15/week otherwise, with flexible availability between 9 AM – 6 PM ET, at least 4 days a week. This is not a W2 employee full‑time role. Independent contractors supply their own equipment and invoices for services. Key Responsibilities • Implement AIPM's behavior change programs (certification provided) • Provide motivational coaching to evoke internal motivation and foster healthy habits • Lead interactive virtual workshops • Document participants' progress accurately on our platform • Contribute to identifying and cultivating new business opportunities within the wellness industry Required Experience & Skills • 2+ years' experience in behavior change health coaching • Professional wellness coach certification • Virtual coaching experience (phone/video) • Experience presenting engaging workshops • Bachelor's degree or higher in a health/wellness-related field • Strong knowledge of disease prevention and well‑being topics Preferred • Experience in facilitating interactive webinar presentations • Proficiency with electronic documentation and virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft 365) • Experience with Motivational Interviewing • Strong communication skills and an engaging, confident personality • Ability to cultivate new business within the wellness industry We partner with wellness professionals who are self‑controlled, self‑confident, conscientious, innovative, achievement‑driven, committed, optimistic, empathetic, influential, and collaborative.
