FREELANCE DIGITAL COPYWRITER
Location: Remote
Hours: Part-Time (approx. 10-15 hours/week)
Compensation Range: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Duration: Start date March 10th through June (potential to extend)
Are you a master of the "short and sweet" who knows how to make consumers crave a brand before they even finish a sentence? One of the world's most iconic consumer packaged goods companies-a leader in the candy, snacks, and gifting space-is seeking a Part-Time Digital Content Copywriter to support our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business.
We need a writer who can blend creativity with conversion. You'll be responsible for elevating our brand voice across a variety of customer-facing channels, ensuring that every digital touchpoint-from a promotional email to a product description-feels cohesive, premium, and irresistible.
Responsibilities:
• Multi-Channel Writing: Conceptualize, write, and edit high-impact digital content including promotional emails, web banners, paid ads, social media posts, and product copy.
• DTC & Gifting Focus: Develop seasonal narratives and product stories that drive engagement, specifically tailored to the chocolate and gifting market.
• SEO Optimization: Research and incorporate keywords into web content to boost search engine rankings without sacrificing brand tone.
• Creative Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with our Digital Graphic Designer to ensure copy and visuals are perfectly aligned.
• Data-Driven Refinement: Leverage web analytics, customer insights, and user feedback to constantly optimize your copy for maximum impact.
• Cross-Functional Sync: Coordinate with e-commerce, marketing, and project management teams to deliver best-in-class assets on deadline.
Qualifications:
• You have 2-5 years of professional copywriting experience, ideally with a background in DTC e-commerce or CPG.
• The Voice Expert: You are comfortable working within strict brand guidelines but know how to "elevate" a voice to keep it fresh.
• The SEO Strategist: You have a solid understanding of SEO best practices and how to weave keyword strategy into natural, engaging prose.
• The Professional: You are a confident communicator who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or Communications is required.
• Required: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Desired: Experience writing for the "Gifting" or "Food & Beverage" space is a major plus.
