ScribeConcepts serves the educational publishing market, and is looking for freelance professional copy editors of curriculum and educational materials. (This is an immediate *and* ongoing need.) Our clients trust us to assemble best-in-class expertise for educational content projects of all kinds. We knit teams together remotely, across time zones and backgrounds, to deliver high quality work through every phase of the content development and production process. For more about working as an independent contractor through ScribeConcepts, please see Copy editors may be assigned to: • Review content against established editorial style guidelines • Review and correct grammar, spelling, sentence structure, and other copy errors • Review content and query for clarity, consistency, and voice • Cross-check internal and external references • Conduct simple hyperlink checks • Review for design and template errors • Review content against simple accessibility requirements • Conduct discipline-specific or other speciality copyediting or reviews Candidates should have professional experience editing educational content, especially K-8. Exceptional candidates may also have training or certification in editing, teaching, or a related field.
