For more about working as an independent contractor through ScribeConcepts, please see Copy editors may be assigned to: • Review content against established editorial style guidelines • Review and correct grammar, spelling, sentence structure, and other copy errors • Review content and query for clarity, consistency, and voice • Cross-check internal and external references • Conduct simple hyperlink checks • Review for design and template errors • Review content against simple accessibility requirements • Conduct discipline-specific or other speciality copyediting or reviews Candidates should have professional experience editing educational content, especially K-8. Exceptional candidates may also have training or certification in editing, teaching, or a related field. Qualified candidates will be asked to complete a short vetting task, and may be asked to meet the team.
