Position: Freelance Backend Developer / 4 hours ago Freelance Backend Software Developer (Remote) Startup Bakery, an Italian startup studio specializing in building B2B SaaS companies, is seeking a Freelance Backend Software Developer to join an innovative project. We design and develop products that integrate simple, intuitive user experiences with data-driven processes and Artificial Intelligence, focusing on solutions that generate real value and positive impact. This role involves designing and developing scalable backend solutions while collaborating closely with product, data, and engineering teams. In our fast-moving, flexible environment, you will actively contribute to technical decisions and directly influence the project's success. Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop highly scalable and reliable APIs. • Contribute significantly to the development of data-intensive and AI-driven backend systems. • Develop and manage robust databases and backend applications. • Collaborate effectively with data scientists and other engineers to continuously improve software solutions. • Ensure consistently high code quality, optimal performance, and system scalability. Required Skills & Experience: • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. • Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience as a Backend Software Engineer or Developer. • Strong proficiency across multiple backend technologies, including Node.js, PHP, Laravel, and Python . • Knowledge of major cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS . • Experience utilizing Postgre SQL and Elasticsearch . • Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git). • Good written and spoken English communication skills. • Demonstrated collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team structure.
