About the Role We’re looking for a skilled Freelance AI & Automation Specialist to help us design and implement intelligent automation solutions using n8n. You’ll be responsible for building robust workflows, integrating AI models, developing custom nodes, and optimising data processes for efficiency and scalability. This is a fully remote, contract-based role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation projects. What You'll Do Automation & AI Integration - Develop, optimise, and deploy n8n automation workflows - Integrate AI models (e.g., OpenAI, Ollama) for text processing, classification, and decision-making - Automate data processing and enrichment using external APIs Custom Development & API Integrations - Build and maintain custom n8n nodes for advanced functionality - Connect n8n to databases (Postgres, MySQL, NoSQL) - Implement secure API integrations using REST & GraphQL Testing, Debugging & Documentation - Conduct unit testing and resolve workflow failures - Implement error handling, monitoring, and logging - Document workflows, automation logic, and provide training support What We're Looking For - Proven experience in n8n workflow automation - Strong knowledge of AI model integration and API development - Experience with Postgres, MySQL, or NoSQL databases - Ability to create custom n8n nodes (nice to have) - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills - Clear and structured documentation practices Bonus: Experience with self-hosted n8n deployments and Docker setups!
