Responsibilities

The Fraud Investigator II role is focused on independently managing a broad range of fraud case types and contributing to fraud prevention initiatives. This role bridges operational execution with emerging fraud trends and supports collaboration with technical partners to understand system outputs and fraud patterns. Emphasis is placed on daily review of predictive reports and taking appropriate actions on accounts. Other duties include participation in Fraud Team area-related projects and training/education of credit union members and employees on fraud related topics.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Associates Degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

12-months experience as a Fraud Investigator I at Grow Financial FCU or 3 years work experience in a financial related field such as fraud/loss prevention, BSA/AML compliance, collections, or lending operations.

Exercises mature judgment and critical thinking skills.

Maintains strong communication including written abilities, presentation skills, active listening, voice quality, grammar, strong interpersonal skills, multi-tasking ability, conflict management and telephone etiquette skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to effectively operate standard office equipment in a remote or in-office environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

Must be able to read, write, speak and type English.

Must be able to hear and use a telephone.

Use of computer requires repetitive keystrokes.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primarily work from home setting.

Sedentary role.

Travel to other branches or locations required as needed.
