They are seeking a Fraud Analyst I to protect their platform from fraudulent activity by identifying, investigating, and preventing fraud to ensure a safe marketplace experience. Responsibilities Monitor and analyze data to identify suspicious patterns, trends, and anomalies indicative of fraudulent activity Investigate potentially fraudulent network traffic, accounts, transactions, and user behavior using a range of tools and techniques Collaborate with other teams, including customer support, engineering, and legal, to resolve fraud incidents and implement preventative measures Develop and maintain fraud detection rules and strategies to proactively identify and mitigate risks Stay up to date on the latest fraud trends, techniques, and industry best practices Prepare reports and presentations summarizing fraud trends, investigation findings, and key performance indicators (KPIs) Contribute to the development and improvement of fraud prevention policies and procedures Assist in the implementation and testing of new fraud detection tools and technologies Provide support to other team members on fraud-related matters Skills Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience Log analysis Understanding of TCP/IP networking Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies in large datasets Excellent research and investigation skills with attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of online marketplace dynamics and fraud trends is a plus Experience with fraud detection systems and tools is a plus Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements is a plus Benefits Robust, affordable medical, dental and vision coverage with no wait period for enrollment Paid leave for new parents under our Medical Maternity and Parental Leave policies Opportunities to apply for tuition reimbursement Paid time off for vacation and sick leave in addition to paid company holidays 401(k) with Company match, fully vested from day one Paid time off for volunteering Employer-funded retirement account, fully vested from day one Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services Access to an entire team of free financial planners Matches on contributions to charitable organizations after one year of service Continuous growth and development opportunities Dynamic team culture that values teamwork, having fun, and collaboration Company Overview Deseret Digital Media is a media and online services company.
