And we're leaders in that space, with:8B+ earned since Patreon's inception30M free new memberships in the first year of launching that option, and10M fans paying each month for exclusive access to creators' work and community.We're continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator products with the best team in the creator economy and are looking for an Fraud Specialist to support our missionThis role is based in Porto, Portugal and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.About the TeamThe Fraud Operations Team works with complex customer questions requiring review and problem solving. This team is involved in deep investigations into fraud relating trends, payment processing, and overall fraud analysis. About the RoleResearch and respond to customer contacts regarding issues related to suspicious activitiesReview suspicious accounts using internal and external fraud tools, and take action in accordance with Patreon's policies. Independently determine and recommend an appropriate course of action following fraud detection Work cross-functionally with our Content Moderation and Product Support teams regarding account suspensions, closures, and other fraud matters.Help identify process improvements and contribute to key projects and initiatives.About You1+ years of professional experience, including 1+ years of customer facing contact experienceFluent in EnglishSelf-starter who is very comfortable dealing with ambiguityKnowledge of, and experience utilizing fraud investigative techniques and practicesAbility to analyze, summarize, and communicate findings and issues drawn from factsDemonstrated ability to forge strong working relationships within and across multiple disciplinesExcellent oral and written communication skillsBasic Zendesk knowledge is a plusBasic payment processing experience is a plusBasic Excel knowledge is a plusAbout PatreonPatreon powers creators to do what they love and get paid by the people who love what they do.
