Fractional COO (1 day per week) – Digital Media / Publishing - Contract to Hire
Fractional COO (1 Day/Week) – Digital Media / Founder-Led Business Founder-led international digital media publication seeking an experienced Fractional COO (approx. 1 day per week) to install operational structure and execution discipline. We are looking for a senior operator who can: Strengthen KPI tracking and accountability rhythms Implement lightweight but effective project management systems Clarify role ownership and performance standards Improve operational efficiency and reporting cadence Reduce founder operational load Help position the business for long-term enterprise value growth This is not an administrative role and not a culture-coaching role. It is a strategic operational role. Ideal candidate: 10+ years in operational leadership (COO, GM, Head of Operations or similar) Experience professionalising founder-led businesses Strong commercial and P&L literacy Experience in digital media, publishing, subscription or content businesses preferred Calm, structured, low-ego operator Engagement: ~1 day per week, remote acceptable (Australia time zone preferred), initial 3–6 months.
