The role in a nutshell : The FP&A Manager will play a key role in the Company's full cycle FP&A process and work closely with the VP of Finance to develop and deliver high-quality projections, analysis and reporting to management and other stakeholders. This person will be a communicative and collaborative team player with meticulous attention to detail, who is eager to support our team with all aspects of financial planning, analysis and management reporting. This role is a process manager position, with a clear path to managing people and building out a team. What you will do : Assist with maintaining the Company's 3-statement financial projection model Support the preparation of annual budget and forecasts, including revenue and cost projections Update model with actual data and drivers, maintain actual vs. budget and forecast comparisons Investigate and identify drivers of revenue and expense variances through research of historical accounting and operating data, adjusting projection assumptions as needed Develop and maintain scenario-based forecasts as needed Assist with, and eventually take ownership of general management reporting and analytical deliverables Monthly financial reporting package Revenue-by-client, cohort, and retention/churn analysis Revenue and expense margin analysis Sales Goals vs. actual revenue reporting and analysis Company KPIs and departmental analytics Functional P&L reporting and analysis Vertical P&L reporting and analysis (by business line, division, geography, etc.) People Costs projections and analysis (compensation by employee type, by geography, etc.) Establish and manage full cycle FP&A processes and reporting frameworks as the company scales Assist leadership with board reporting, investor materials, and strategic planning Support M&A analysis, market expansion modeling, and capital allocation decisions when relevant What you need to have : Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required 5+ years of professional corporate finance and/or FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, recurring and ad hoc analysis, etc. Experience in investment banking, private equity, and/or transaction advisory a plus Strong understanding of accounting principles and relationship between accounting and FP&A Strong MS Office skills required, including advanced Excel skills (complex spreadsheets, formulas, etc.) Proficiency in ERP/accounting software; previous Quickbooks and/or Oracle/Netsuite experience a plus Ability to work with, analyze and summarize large data sets; database experience a plus Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Critical thinker with problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize Superb attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent communication skills Self-starter with strong work ethic and sense of accountability, integrity and honesty Exceptional time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills Evidence of success in previous / current positions that are similar to this position Excellent professional references Ability to operate, communicate and succeed remotely (via video-conference, phone, email, Slack, etc.), and responsibly achieve goals without being managed in-person Additional information : Position reports to the VP of Finance Position will report to Company HQ in Tampa, Florida, but will have the ability to work remotely About Symphonic Distribution Symphonic Distribution enables content creators to fully maximize their music’s revenue and grow their global audience.
