About the job: About the Role BBVA is seeking a skilled FP&A professional with 3+ years of experience to join our Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Finance team in New York. This role will provide financial planning and analysis support across our Global Transactional Banking and Global Finance product suites, directly partnering with business leaders in the U.S. and Spain. The position is highly visible, offering the opportunity to work closely with the CFO of CIB USA and deliver insights that shape business performance and strategy. What You’ll Do Assist in weekly P&L forecasting and deliver high-quality analysis to senior management. Prepare monthly reporting packages with variance analysis by entity, product, and business line. Contribute to the annual budgeting process, tracking results and explaining deviations. Perform financial analysis across CIB products (loans, deposits, transactional services, investment banking fees). Reconcile differences between accounting and management reporting results (EFAN), working with cross-functional teams to resolve issues. Respond to ad hoc requests from local and global stakeholders and support strategic projects. What We’re Looking For Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Economics, Accounting or Finance; CPA or CFA preferred. Experience: 3+ years of FP&A, management reporting, or accounting in financial services (banking/CIB experience strongly preferred). Technical: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS; advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills. Exposure to BI tools, Access, or macros is a plus. Competencies: Proven ability to analyze and explain complex financial results. Strong communication and presentation skills, with comfort engaging senior leaders. Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment. Spanish language skills are an advantage. With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $75,000 to $90,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
