Altruist is transforming the wealth management industry by building an AI platform for wealth professionals. They are seeking a Founding Sales Development Representative to generate and qualify pipeline, manage inbound and outbound sales efforts, and contribute to the growth of Hazel's AI engine for wealth management.ResponsibilitiesGenerate pipeline by running a balanced motion across inbound follow-up and outbound prospectingQualify and route leads: run first-touch discovery, assess fit, and schedule next steps with AEsExecute targeted outbound plays (email, phone, LinkedIn) to reach key decision-makers in ICP accountsCreate a great buyer experience: thoughtful follow-ups, clear next steps, and fast response times – especially on inboundOperate with rigor: maintain clean CRM data, track activity, and improve conversion through feedback loops with Product, Sales and MarketingIterate your craft: test messaging, sequences, and channels; bring learnings back to the team to improve playbooksLearn the Wealth management AI landscape and translate Hazel.ai’s value into business outcomes for different personas (operators, leaders, technical stakeholders)Leverage AI to research accounts and craft high-signal, personalized outreach at scale – continuously testing messaging and sequences to improve reply rates, meetings set, and qualified pipeline conversionSkills1+ years in a BDR role or a high-cadence customer-facing roleStrong written + verbal communication; comfortable with discovery and objection handlingHigh ownership and pace: you prioritize well, follow through, are organized and thrive in ambiguityData-informed mindset: you track what's working, diagnose drop-offs, and adjustFamiliarity with CRM and sales tooling (e.g., Salesforce/HubSpot + sales engagement tools)Experience selling into a defined ICP (SMB/MM/Enterprise) and partnering closely with AEs on account strategyComfort using intent signals and AI tools to personalize outreach and improve conversionBenefitsPremium healthcare, dental, and vision insurance plans (HMO and PPO).401k savings plan with a 4% match and immediate vesting.16 week paid parental leave.Professional growth and development opportunities including an employee mobility program and an annual L&D budget allocation for each employee.Company perks program (includes discounts on pet insurance, fitness, cell phone plans, and travel, etc.).Financial guidance program (includes counseling on navigating debt, tracking personal spend, saving and planning goals, home-purchasing preparedness, etc.).One month work from anywhere policy (with the exception of a few countries).Company OverviewAltruist is a modern custodian that offers a digital investment platform for financial advisors to manage their clients' investments.
