We are well-funded for the next few years. About the RoleWe’re looking for a Founding Designer to lead design across our iOS, Android, and web platforms as we scale to the public. You’ll own our design systems from the ground up, shape our visual identity, and create a consistent, thoughtful experience across the product. This is a unique opportunity to define the role of design at a mission-driven startup and grow into a future Head of Design role.What you’ll doLead Design Across Platforms: Own UX/UI for our mobile/web app, marketing site, internal tools, and brand identity.Drive End-to-End Design: Create patterns, prototypes, and mockups to support product launches.Champion User Needs: Conduct research and engage with customers to refine experiences.Build Scalable Systems: Develop design systems and processes for long-term growth.Collaborate Strategically: Partner with teams and leadership to balance speed and sustainability.Foster Design Excellence: Shape a culture of high-quality, user-focused design. ‍ We’ll be most excited if youBring experience & focus on Impact: 4-7 years in design (3+ in product), with a track record of driving adoption and retention in consumer apps.Are User & Data-Driven: Deep understanding of user needs, leveraging research and analytics to inform design decisions.Are Versatile & Technical: Skilled in UX/UI, brand design, Figma, Adobe Suite, and no-code tools like Framer, with a basic grasp of HTML/CSS.Are Entrepreneurial & Adaptable: Thrive in ambiguity, taking projects from concept to execution with minimal guidance.Are a Strong Communicator & Leader: Clearly articulate design decisions and eager to grow into a Head of Design role.
