Forklift Driver
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. This role is crucial in ensuring that products are accurately picked, packed, and shipped while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
ā¢ Utilize RF scanners to track inventory levels and assist with order picking.
ā¢ Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely deliveries.
ā¢ Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain optimal workflow and address any operational issues.
ā¢ Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
ā¢ Assist in the organization of the warehouse, including proper storage of goods and materials handling.
ā¢ Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks within the work environment.
Requirements
ā¢ Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a distribution center or warehouse setting.
ā¢ Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred.
ā¢ Strong skills in order picking, shipping, receiving, and materials handling.
ā¢ Ability to operate various types of forklifts and heavy equipment safely.
ā¢ Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining accuracy in inventory management.
ā¢ Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
ā¢ A valid forklift operator certification is required; additional certifications are a plus.
