Hospitality Support Team members will enhance the guest experience by supporting the front of house servers to make and deliver drinks, deliver food, accommodate guests coming in, clear tables, keep the dining area clean and organized, etc. At Egg Harbor, we are committed to building an ever-growing base of regular customers in the communities that we serve. Scheduling is generally flexible if you understand that our busiest days are on the weekends and holidays. We are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.If you are someone who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment, is responsible, trustworthy, prompt, reliable, and self-motivated, then you would be a great fit for the Egg Harbor Café Team.In the role of food/drink runner, your job responsibilities would be (but not limited to):Ensure the efficient flow of food and drink orders from the wait staff to the kitchenCheck receipts and assemble the order for the guestEnsure orders are being prepared with the correct priority and alert management to quality issues or long wait timesEnsure that the food and drink presentation is fresh and up to quality standardsAssist in the final plate or drink presentation (e.g. adding condiments and/or toppings)Check dishes/drinks before delivery for accuracy, presentation, and temperatureDeliver orders quickly to customers to maintain fast serviceCommunicate important information to the kitchen and the wait staff (e.g. when a customer has a particular request)Keep Runner/Expo area clean and well stockedEliminate obstacles in service, food preparation lines, or dishwashingInspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards, and assist in cleaningMaintain working area is safe and clean; sweep/mop as neededHandle complaints from customers to preserve the restaurant’s reputation of providing excellent customer serviceSupport other tasks as needed (i.e., organizing and bagging to-go orders)Perform other related duties as assignedPerform opening/closing and on shift side work and maintenance properlyPerks Of The JobFlexible schedule, holiday bonus, PTO, employee scholarship program, meal discounts, shifts end early (restaurant closes at 2pm), family owned (never franchised), employee assistance program, etc
