Florida Virtual Special Education Teacher

For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. With a network of over 200 educators, we strive to make a positive impact for generations to come. Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in September for the 2025-26 school year. This unique position will involve working remotely, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom and 1:1 setting as they receive treatment in behavioral health facilities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 1 to 8 school-age patients at any one time. This position will be 1.5 hours (9:00AM-10:30AM EST) Monday-Friday with the potential to add on more hours. Qualifications: • B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution • Florida State Teaching License (required) • Comfortable working with K-12 students • Strong organizational skills • Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs • Reliable Internet Join LearnWell as we strive to make a difference in the lives of students with behavioral health needs.
