As an accredited Consultative Pharmacy Technician, you will manage communications involving patients, pharmacies, and healthcare providers, delivering both administrative support and customer service in accordance with established protocols. Your responsibilities will include assessing inquiries, aiding in medication research, and facilitating medication therapy management programs by reaching out to patients via phone. The role requires diligent oversight, where you will carry out routine tasks, respond to specific queries, and assist with medication assessments, all while ensuring adherence to high service standards set forth by company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities of the Consultative Pharmacy Technician:
• Respond to queries related to assigned areas and support medication research.
• Manage calls requiring pharmacist consultation through effective triage.
• Conduct outbound calls to patients to promote medication therapy management programs and arrange medication review meetings with consultative pharmacists.
• Make decisions within defined work parameters, adhering closely to established protocols and quality standards, with limited scope for deviation.

Consultative Pharmacy Technician Qualifications:
• Possession of a valid license from the Board of Pharmacy in your state of residence.
• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or through ExCPT is required.
• Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related call center environment is preferred.
• A critical thinker capable of anticipating member/customer needs, displaying initiative, asking pertinent questions, and providing exceptional customer service.
• Adept problem solver able to develop practical solutions for member/customer challenges without access to all necessary resources.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel is a must.

Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with RxNova, CRM, and/or ScriptMed is advantageous.
• Experience in utilizing multiple computer applications simultaneously, along with proficient data entry skills.
