Financial Modeling Intern – Remote

Job Summary KPMG is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Modeling Intern to join our dynamic team remotely. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting within a leading global professional services firm. Key Responsibilities • Assist in building, reviewing, and maintaining complex financial models for various business scenarios. • Conduct data analysis, prepare financial forecasts, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs). • Support senior analysts in preparing presentations, reports, and recommendations for clients. • Perform benchmarking, sensitivity analyses, and scenario planning to inform strategic decisions. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, organize, and validate financial data. • Continuously learn and apply best practices in financial modeling and reporting. Required Skills and Qualifications • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial functions. • Basic understanding of corporate finance, valuation methods, and accounting principles. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience • Previous internship or academic experience in finance, investment banking, consulting, or accounting is preferred but not mandatory. • Exposure to financial modeling, valuation, or data analysis projects is a plus. Working Hours • Remote internship with flexible working hours. • Expected commitment: 15–20 hours per week, with the possibility of adjustment based on project needs. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data visualization. • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. • Familiarity with financial software, databases, and reporting tools is advantageous. • Curiosity and willingness to learn new concepts and methodologies quickly.
