Financial Analyst, Deductions

They are seeking a Financial Analyst – Trade Spend who will be responsible for managing customer deductions, setting up promotional codes, and ensuring accurate trade accruals. The role involves detailed review and reporting on deductions, as well as collaboration with sales and customers to clarify any discrepancies.ResponsibilitiesAssist on any Trade Spend Budgeting processMaintains trade accrual database to facilitate reporting of actual trade spend by customer and SKUAdminister and enforce deduction management policiesDetail review of customer deductions for accuracy to ensure each deduction is valid and supportedProcess Journal Entries for any deduction clearance and prepare trade accrualsDetail tracking of communication to customers and status of each deductionReporting of Deduction aging, and understand customers’ deductions trendsEnsure deductions are properly coded to the correct customers, brands, SKUProactively identify trends and assist in implementing processes to continuously improve accuracy and efficiency of deductions and to prevent invalid deductionsWork with customers and AR team to ensure backup is received timely and follow-up when additional information is neededHelp in the process for approving Promotional ActivitiesUpload Promotional codes within SAPProvide ad-hoc deduction and trade spend reporting and analysisSkillsProficient in Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent oral and written communications skillsAbility to quickly change priorities and handle competing prioritiesMust be extremely accurate and detail oriented in performing tasks and cross-checking workStrong organizational skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detailAbility to tactfully communicate with customers and sales team to resolve any invalid deductions or disputesBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plusStrong communication and positive attitude is requiredAbility to maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor at all timesKnowledge in SAP and Business Objects is a plusBenefitsCompetitive compensation package including staff discountsGenerous family leave policyHealth & dental planCompetitive salary401KCompany OverviewGlanbia Performance Nutrition (GPN) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Glanbia plc (ISE/LSE: GLAPF), a global nutrition company.
