Financial Analyst

KION Group is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team at the Grand Rapids, MI headquarters. The role involves leveraging AI tools to enhance financial analysis, streamline workflows, and support financial reporting and forecasting processes.ResponsibilitiesAdds value to the finance function through identification and implementation of AI tools to identify trends and anomalies, streamline repetitive workflows, generate variance explanations, and improve forecast accuracyAssists in monthly financial close including reporting financial results to Parent company with accurate and on-time deliveryCoordinates quarterly and half-year reporting packages to Parent companyServes as key point of contact as reporting questions arise or as new guidance is issuedProvide financial business partner supportParticipates in monthly forecasts and annual budget process including capital, shared service allocations, SG&A, and miscellaneous cost centersProvides proactive analysis and insights above and beyond regular responsibilitiesWorks on special project and improvement teams as neededSkillsBachelor of Science in Finance, Accounting, or EconomicsUp to four years of relevant working experience including either in a large corporate environment or public accounting experienceFamiliarity with or eagerness to learn AI toolsStrong communication skills, with high level of professionalism and a detail orientated mindsetCandidate should be a motivated self-starter, able to demonstrate sound judgment and resourcefulness in decision-making and problem solvingExpertise with Excel and proficient with Word and PowerPointExperience with SAP, Oracle or Power BI is an advantageThe ideal candidate will aspire to use this role as a springboard into project controlling operations controlling or other finance roles within approximately 2 yearsBenefitsCareer DevelopmentCompetitive Compensation and BenefitsPay TransparencyGlobal OpportunitiesCompany OverviewThe KION Group sells forklift trucks, warehouse technology and associated services from its seven brand companies around the world.
