Financial Analyst

They are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support the FP&A team by providing quality reporting, optimizing processes, and assisting with strategic projects that inform financial decisions across the organization.ResponsibilitiesSupport strategic initiatives and analyses across the business by gathering and preparing data for cross-functional teamsAssist in performing variance analysis by diving into financial data to help identify the root causes behind the numbersPrepare clear summaries of financial information and key insights for review by senior team membersSupport management in tracking and monitoring performance against relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Generate ad hoc reports and analyses as requested by senior leadershipSupport data integrity and validation efforts within FP&A, learning to work with financial systemsAssist in building and maintaining transformation files and financial models used to structure and clean raw dataLearn and utilize advanced tools like Alteryx and Power Query for data manipulation and process optimizationDevelop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecastingAssist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual variance reportsSkillsBachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative fieldUp to 2 years of experience as a financial analyst or related roleDemonstrated ability to approach tasks with a high degree of attention to detail and organizational skillsExperience with and a desire to learn advanced data manipulation in tools like Excel, Alteryx, and/or Power QueryStrong foundational analytical mindset with the ability to look deeply into numbers and identify patternsExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others across teams to resolve data and process issuesMust be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contractsAll employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug testFamiliarity with other data manipulation tools and languages such as SQL or PythonRelevant professional certification or progress towards one (e.g., CPA or CMA)Any exposure to integrated three financial statement modelingFamiliarity with financial systems integration and data architectureBenefitsIncentive Bonus PlansMedical, Dental, Vision benefits401K with Company Match10 Paid HolidaysGenerous Paid Time Off PackagesEmployee Stock Purchase PlanPaid Parental & Family LeaveAnd more!Company OverviewMotorola Solutions creates mission-critical communication solutions and services for public safety and commercial customers.
