Financial Analyst

EBSCO Information Services is a leader in providing optimized research experiences and is seeking a motivated Financial Analyst to support their Go-To-Market Finance team. This role involves partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Product leaders to provide financial insights that drive revenue growth and improve business performance.ResponsibilitiesEngage as support and act as a business partner with the leaders of the business you are assigned to, maintaining a productive relationship that improves understanding of KPIs, their associated financials & P&Ls, and facilitates effective decision makingWork closely with department heads to develop annual budgets, long-range expense plans (3yr), and monthly forecastsPrepare and distribute timely and insightful financial analysis to determine progress against budget and long-range plansExecute monthly reporting and forecast analysis that facilitates business decisionsActively interpret and review monthly financial results with business leaders, including variance analysis of current trends, to identify and communicate potential risks and opportunitiesEvolve the various forecasting, budgeting, and other tools to ensure that accuracy and quality are always improvingComplete and contribute to special projects as needed, such as internal business proposals and business cases, vendor and prepaid tracking, headcount reporting, acquisition support, and other ad hoc requestsSkills1-2 years of professional work experience in financial analysis, financial/strategic planning, and/or budgeting preferably within a technology and/or subscription-based revenue companyTrack record of experience in working through planning cyclesExperience with SAP, Board, or similar planning and ERP toolsSkilled with MS Office Suite, specifically ExcelBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or BusinessStrong analytical & problem-solving skills with the ability to identify key trends and drivers within financial data with experience to translate that into meaningful informationStrong communication skills and ability to partner with all levels of the organizationBias for action with a high degree of self-motivation to work with minimal supervisionTeam player who is comfortable being coachedWorking knowledge of accounting and finance principles, GAAPCompany OverviewAt EBSCO Information Services, we hire great people and let them thrive.
