• Prior Experience? Spent time working at Credit Suisse and UBS, became a business owner and entrepreneur. He also worked at other financial institutions before choosing Northwestern Mutual as his home. A proud Georgetown graduate.
• Passionate About? Indian American heritage, avid tennis player, devoted husband, and a dedicated family man.
Tom Samar - Managing Director and Certified Financial Planner
• How long at NM? Started in 2015.
• Prior Experience? College intern out of Buffalo, NY; graduated from Binghamton University; played two years of college baseball; moved to NYC in 2017.
• Passionate About? A dedicated Bills and Yankees fan, avid golfer, travel enthusiast, and fluent in sign language, having grown up with a deaf sibling.
Theresa Calabrese - Managing Director and Certified Coach
• How long at NM? Joined Northwestern Mutual in 2008.
• Prior Experience? Graduated from Fordham University and started with Northwestern Mutual right out of college. Began as a certified coach, guiding financial advisors, before transitioning to a financial advisor and leadership role. Made history as the first female Managing Director in the NYC territory for Northwestern Mutual.
• Passionate About? Being a mom and cherishing time with her 2-year-old daughter. Loves the outdoorswhether it's kayaking or camping. Avid reader who enjoys business books around leadership and romance novels.

Key Responsibilities of a Financial Advisor:
• Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand their financial goals, aspirations, and concerns.
• Financial Planning: Develop comprehensive financial plans that include investments, insurance, and retirement.
• Insurance Solutions: Recommend and implement insurance strategies to protect clients' assets and income.
• Ongoing Support: Monitor clients' financial plans and provide regular updates, adjusting strategies as needed to meet changing circumstances.
• Networking: Build and maintain a network of clients through referrals, community involvement, and professional associations.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Previous experience in financial services or insurance is not required.

• Licenses: Obtain necessary licenses, such as Series 6, 63, and state insurance licenses (training and sponsorship available).
