Financial Accountant

National Gypsum Company is a leading provider of high-performance building products. They are seeking a Financial Accountant to support core accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting while assisting with audits and providing cross-functional support. Responsibilities Execute daily, weekly and monthly accounting activities to ensure timely workflow and recording of financial transactions Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements Perform activities related to the monthly closing process, including preparing journal entries and completing accrual and reserve calculations Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations as required by company accounting policies Complete external financial statement audit requests Complete quarterly and annual governmental surveys Perform ad hoc analysis and other tasks in support of the finance team, including FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Property Accounting, and Operations Accounting, as required Skills Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field 1-2 years public/private general accounting experience Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word and Excel Demonstrated appropriate experience including communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team Extensive organizational skills including the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines CPA Certification Prior SAP experience Experience with OneStream Experience with AI/automation Benefits Comprehensive benefits to include: Medical Dental Vision 401(k) with employer match Retirement Account Parental Leave Fertility Services Adoption Assistance Paid Vacation Paid Holidays Tuition Reimbursement Life Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Flexible spending accounts Wellness Program with medical premium incentives And more… Company Overview National Gypsum Company is an company which produces drywall gypsum boards It was founded in 1925, and is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, with a workforce of 1001-5000 employees.
