Financial Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical accounting skills, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. You will play a key role in month-end processes, statutory reporting, payroll support, and general finance operations. Month-End Tasks Manage key asset and liability accounts (e.g., bank & cash, prepayments, fixed assets, creditors, accruals). Prepare journal entries and perform reconciliations. Own various month-end processes and GL account reconciliations. Identify and resolve reconciliation variances promptly. Assist in expense analysis for management reporting. Support the financial integrity of general ledgers. Provide ad-hoc support to the Finance function. Statutory Reporting Assist with year-end and half-year audits for NASDAQ and ASIC compliance. Support quarterly reporting requirements under NASDAQ listing. Payroll Assist with fortnightly payroll tasks (Australia and US). Take ownership of payroll processing during Payroll Administrator’s leave. General Proactively identify opportunities for value creation and process improvement. Comply with Work Health and Safety policies and procedures. Requirements 3–5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a dynamic environment. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce; CPA/CA qualification or currently pursuing one. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level). Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software; NetSuite and Power BI are a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams. Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational abilities. High attention to detail with strong problem-solving capabilities.
