Responsibilities:
As a Finance Manager, you are responsible for providing support to the Operations group, through information analyses (e.g. current processes, actual performance vs. budget and prior year, budget, etc.), preparation of operational data/analyses for publication to various constituents throughout the company (Management, Operations, etc.) who rely on/benefit from the information to make informed business decisions. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge. In addition, you will: Perform a variety of advanced financial analyses to determine the present and forecasted financial health of the companyPrepare a monthly analysis of revenue, cost of goods sold, and operational expenses against the prior year and budget, providing explanations and business solutions to help mitigate the risksManage the preparation of departmental and organizational financial documentsPartner with the Inventory and Purchasing Team in determining financial impact and preparing periodic forecasts to update management on projected resultsCollaborate with management on the development and execution of financial strategiesAnalyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgetsIdentify, investigate, and analyze potential operational improvements, as appropriate, based on findings, and make a proposal for operational changes (policy, procedures, processes, etc.)Understand and follow company rules and regulationsPerform all other duties as assigned and required
Qualifications:
About You: You have 4+ years of experience in a similar position; experience with operations preferredPossess a Bachelor's in Finance or related field; MBA preferredYou have a flair for numbers, work well with people, aggressively anticipate impacts of workload/issues to team deadlines, and have a very positive work attitude, including being willing to work some longer hours during peak periodsStrong experience in income statement analysisAdvanced Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tablesProficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPointExperience with Oracle Financials or equivalentStrong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projectsHard work pays off.
