Finance Data Analyst I

As a Finance Data Analyst I, you will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights to support business decisions and drive analytics culture within the organization.ResponsibilitiesDrive the adoption of analytics culture and data-driven decision-making, promoting consumer-driven analytics, and enhance the visibility of data and analytics by providing clear data stories and spreading them across the organizationCreate, prototype, modify, test, and deploy reports to production while working closely with the end usersUnderstand data needs and translate user requirements into technical requirementsAnalyze requests for data needs and prioritize project and ad-hoc effortsSupport cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights, guide business decisions, and identify optimization opportunitiesBuild, develop, and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards, technical processes, and performance metrics that support key business decisionsPartner with Finance and Non-Finance Leadership/stakeholders to define key analytics requirements, assess business impact, resolve cross-functional issues, and manage project challenges by escalating when necessaryExamine, interpret, and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders in leadership, technology, sales, marketing, and product teamsSupport change management initiatives and anticipate future demands within Finance, including people, technology, budget, and business needsSkills1 or more years of overall experience as a finance or analytics professional spread across data science, data management, analytics, FP&A, controllership, or business intelligenceExperience developing with Tableau, PowerBI, or similar toolsExperience querying data warehouses directly with complex SQL and developing reports for end-user consumptionDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee statusBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or similarExperience with Python or similar programming languagesExceptional analytical skills (linking results to drivers)Ability to see solutions in large data sets and the business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunitiesStrong project management skillsKnowledge of databases, data warehouse structures, data mining and reporting toolsSAP, Essbase, Alteryx, and Snowflake experienceSelf-motivated, results-oriented, and assertive individualBenefitsEmployer-subsidized Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability401(k) matchFlexible Spending AccountsHealth Savings AccountsEAPEducational AssistanceParental LeavePaid Time Off (for vacation, personal business, sick time, and parental leave)12 Paid HolidaysCompany OverviewHoneywell is a technology and manufacturing company that produces products for the automation, aviation, and energy transition industries.
