Finance Controller

Remote Full-time
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Controller to join a fast-paced and growing business. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for accurate and timely month-end reporting, maintaining compliance with corporate standards and processes, and supporting the wider Finance function as required.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Manage the full accounting function from daily ledger activities through to annual statutory filings

· Review payroll processes and payroll-related statutory submissions

· Take ownership of the month-end close cycle, ensuring timely reconciliations, reporting, and analysis across all ledgers

· Oversee project accounting and financial control processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15 and company policies

· Ensure external reporting compliance in accordance with IFRS standards

· Maintain accurate tax records and manage VAT, income tax, and corporation tax filings, liaising with external advisors where required

· Continuously review and improve financial processes and controls, introducing automation where possible

· Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, providing financial insights and analysis

· Drive debtor management, working capital optimisation, and cash flow management

· Support the broader Finance team during peak periods and holiday coverage as required

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

· BCom Accounting degree

· SAICA articles completed or SAIPA qualification/designation

Experience & Technical Skills

· Strong hands-on accounting experience across multiple finance functions

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential

· Experience with Oracle NetSuite and Xero will be advantageous

· Strong understanding of IFRS, particularly IFRS 15

· Proven experience in process improvement and automation initiatives

· Experience with project accounting and financial controls preferred
