Under the responsibility of the Finance Director, the Finance Business Partner is responsible for supporting the Customer Logistics Director (DCL) in all areas of accounting and financial management. This individual is responsible for streamlining and continuously improving accounting functions and working to satisfy the client's reporting needs.***REMOTE WORK FROM HOME***Essential Functions
Support Central United States region, but can work eastern or central time zone hours
Responsible for internal month end close process including preparation of journal vouchers
Research and provide explanations of variances vs. forecast / business plan / prior year and ensure billing opportunities are captured
Prepare monthly forecast and annual budget for responsible scope of cost centers
Contribute on cross-functional teams to pricing proposals for new business opportunities
Participate in various miscellaneous projects as required

Be able to advise, make recommendations and make decisions related to financial and accounting aspects of the role
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills

High degree of initiative and ability to work under minimal supervision
Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint required)

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required Accounting, Finance or related field
Master's degree preferred MBA
Four (4) years or more Accounting and/or Finance experience required
Four (4) years or more Transportation, Logistics, or equivalent industry preferred
