This role is ideal for professionals with banking analyst experience looking to transition into corporate finance. Established in 2018, Harbor.ai is Venture-backed and based in New York.This role is 100% on-site at our corporate Headquarters in New York City (SoHo).Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Financial OperationsReview daily cash position and accounts receivable aging reports each morningIdentify and follow up on overdue accounts and payment discrepanciesReconcile daily bank transactions, credit card payments, and electronic transfersProcess daily payment runs for accounts payable and vendor obligationsMonitor daily cash flow and flag any potential issues to managementReview and approve daily expense reports and reimbursementsFinancial Analysis & ModelingBuild and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysisConduct variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and prior periodsPrepare detailed financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives for senior leadershipFinancial Planning & BudgetingAssist in annual budget preparation and quarterly forecasting processesPrepare rolling forecasts and update financial projections based on business changesWork with the COO to support long-range strategic planning initiativesAnalyze market trends and competitive positioning for planning purposesReporting & CommunicationsPrepare monthly financial packages for senior management and board presentationsCreate executive-level reports and presentations with clear insightsSupport investor relations materialsMaintain financial reporting templates and bookkeeping softwareRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative fieldStrong Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and financial modelingDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities through prior roles, coursework, internships, or projectsAbility to work with large datasets and learn new software/systems quicklyStrong attention to detail and accuracy when working with numbersPreferred QualificationsExperience with PowerBI, Tableau, or similar data visualization toolsProficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languagesPrevious exposure to corporate finance, FP&A, or fintechExperience building financial models, dashboards, or automated reporting systemsStrong PowerPoint skills for executive presentationsSkills & AttributesExceptional analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detailAbility to translate complex financial concepts into actionable business insightsStrong written and verbal communication skills for all organizational levelsProven ability to work independently and manage multiple competing prioritiesIntellectual curiosity and proactive problem-solving approachComfortable in fast-paced environment with changing prioritiesHigh integrity and ability to handle confidential informationPlease note that any emails from recruiters will be printed, then ceremoniously disposed of.Working with Harbor.aiHarbor is committed to providing reasonable support (called accommodations) in our recruiting processes for candidates with disabilities, long term conditions, mental health conditions, or sincerely held religious beliefs, or who are neurodivergent or require pregnancy-related support.
