Finance Analyst 1

Nissan Motor Corporation is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team in Mississauga, Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance analysis to support data-driven decisions that influence profitability and operational success. Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly financial performance, forecasts, and annual budgets Develop monthly reporting packages and conduct variance analysis, explaining results versus plan in partnership with business units Provide Return on Investment (ROI) analysis to support operational departments and strategic initiatives Assist in developing and coordinating annual FMI, G&A, and CAPEX budgets, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines Review expenditure requests by analyzing cost-benefit considerations and coordinating finance approvals Coordinate preparation and reporting of operating expenses Prepare journal entries and accruals to support accurate monthly financial close Skills Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting 1 to 3 years of finance experience Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, business plan evaluation, and financial reporting Advanced Excel skills (VBA, Power Query, Power BI) and proficiency with office software applications Financial modeling capabilities and analytical problem-solving skills Actively pursuing a professional accounting designation (CPA) Experience working with multiple business units or corporate groups Ability to explain complex financial information clearly and persuasively Benefits Comprehensive Benefits Package, including medical, mental health, parental leave, retirement savings & unique Nissan perks, including discounts on lease vehicles as part of our Employee Lease Program and a Vehicle Purchase Program (VPP).
