The compensation for this role is a competitive salary, reflecting our commitment to attracting the best.   The Field Services Manager is the expert on all service offerings and is responsible for positioning individual services products and our overall platform to our internal commercial sales force with the goal of marketing and selling these services products via an omni-channel approach externally to our retail owners and farmers.This is a remote position working covering Iowa and Missouri. Ideal candidates will live in the geography.Responsibilities50% Strategy Execution and Account ManagementLeads services strategy execution by account and provides direction to the Market Development Specialist to close sales in partnership with the retail sellerShares ownership of services execution with other field rolesEnsures Master Alignment Plans (MAPs) are executed for services platform, holds stakeholders accountableTracks performance indicators and ensures achievement; this includes sales and growth targets, gross margin targets, and expensesPartners with Account Manager to ensure team alignment and executionUnderstands and owns services profitability with within the business unit40% Training and Sales PositioningPositions services platform to our internal sales forceExecutes training on product positioning and how to sell servicesEnsures field team is equipped to make farmgate sales calls to offer services to farmersDelivers services platform overview, presentations, and communications to owners, field, and back office teamsPartners locally with channel partners and manufacturers10% Services DevelopmentPartners with product development to continuously evaluate customer needs and generates ideas for improvement to current services or development of new servicesResponsible For The Following Key Performance Indicators (KPIÂs) Sales, margin and market penetrationRequired QualificationsBachelorÂs degree in agriculture and/or business-related field plus 3-5 years of services positioning or account management experience; or an equivalent of 7-9 years of services positioning or account management experienceAbility to See the Âbig picture of the organization and understands how the key drivers of the business relate to each other, work together to produce profitable growth, and relate to the jobSkills in finance and risk managementProactive communicator with exceptional written, verbal, and formal presentation skillsTrustworthy with a strong level of personal commitmentAbility to make sound decisions and complete tasks in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to juggle multiple owners simultaneously, while staying focused on details and executionProven ability to coordinate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders and to influence at all levelsAbility to work independently and manage productivityExperience demonstrating agility and leading/adapting quickly to changeWorking knowledge of agronomics, products, and crops and ability to develop and educate others on products, services, programs, and technologySolid experience using Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); virtual collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom); and CRM software (Salesforce)Must have current and valid state driverÂs licenseAbility to travel up to 50%, including evenings and some weekends; may require working long hours during peak seasonsThis is a sales role that is compensated with a target mix of base salary plus commission. Base salary is dependent upon experience/tenure and generally ranges between $112,000 - $165,000.
