We are looking for a detail-oriented Field Service Specialist with a strong computer background to join our team and our thriving workplace culture. This is a completely remote position. Job Summary: As a Field Service Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, service and support material handling automation equipment including dimensioning and weighing systems, automatic barcode scanners, automatic label print and apply systems, conveying equipment, and automation controls at a level which satisfies the high-quality standards of Cubiscan and our customers. Key Responsibilities: This position will require on-site work at customer sites, equating to at least 50% travel outside remote workplace. Occasional weekend travel/work may apply. Field installation of pallet, static and automated dimensioning systems. Analyze mechanical drawings, diagrams, schematics and documentation as part of assembly. Provide training to customers and/or distributors for preventative maintenance and repair. Promote Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and suggest specific offerings based on customer needs. Participate in contracted installation, maintenance and ongoing service work, when and as required. Communicate engineering change orders and assembly. Utilize a business management system to update information related to customers, parts, work history, etc. Performs other duties as needed. Key Requirements: Basic mechanical assembly and aptitude. Strong project management skills to effectively manage multiple projects with varying deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to actively listen, build trust, and adapt communication styles and tactics to fit the client or colleague. Builds and maintains customer relationships with an orientation toward exceptional customer service. Encourages team unity through sharing information or expertise and collaborates well with colleagues. Superior organizational skills and a strong attention to detail is critical to this role. Ability to take ownership and resolve difficult or complicated challenges. Adjust priorities as situations change. Education and Experience: High school degree or higher. Electronic assembly/diagnostics (vocational school, technical college, etc.) is preferred. 2-3 years mechanical/electrical experience preferred. Ability to read, interpret and understand schematics. Moderate computer skills required to configure and troubleshoot automation systems, including Microsoft Office suite. Self-motivated, positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, ability to work independently after training. Good customer service and communication skills. Strong eye/hand coordination and dexterity skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational skills. Previous customer service experience preferred.
