Field Service Engineer- Poultry Inspection, Batching & Portioning
Marel is an international company seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and maintain their machines at customer sites. The role involves preparing and executing electrical installations, troubleshooting production issues, and providing training to customers and colleagues. Responsibilities Prepare and execute the electrical cabinets/software/PLC part of installation-jobs Conduct service visits Troubleshoot production issues at customers’ sites Supervise local employees in larger installation projects Keep in touch with, and report to the customer about the progress Train the customer, colleagues and feedback results Preparing your next project(s) and reporting on completed projects Personal and technical trainings, both in the office and on the job Regular meetings with your manager and the team Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or automation engineering Experience with or an interest in electrical cabinet (re)build, software installation/configuration, and/or troubleshooting PLCs Affinity with process engineering and/or food production Willingness to travel (~65-80%) Strong electrical background and troubleshooting skills Ability to prepare and execute the electrical cabinets/software/PLC part of installation jobs Ability to conduct service visits Ability to troubleshoot production issues at customers' sites Ability to supervise local employees in larger installation projects Ability to keep in touch with, and report to the customer about the progress Ability to train the customer, colleagues and feedback results Ability to prepare next projects and report on completed projects Ability to participate in personal and technical trainings, both in the office and on the job Ability to attend regular meetings with manager and team Passion about technology Service attitude Independence, flexibility, and stress resilience Hands-on work approach Analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills Benefits Extensive, well-prepared onboarding period Function-specific development track of one year Personal development plan Company Overview Marel provider of advanced processing systems and services to the Poultry, Meat and Fish industries.
