The Field Service Engineer I will provide installation support, maintenance, and repair on various instruments, directly impacting patient health and well-being.ResponsibilitiesProvide installation support, maintenance, modification and/or repair on 1-2 groups of mechanical, electromechanical, electronic and/or refrigeration instrumentsDocument and complete service administration activities in a timely manner to follow ISO, FDA, and Leica policiesActively support the sale of service contracts, assist sales representatives & service team members with system configurations/upgrades, and provide feedback on ways to improve financial performance to generate service revenueSkillsAssociate's degree with 1+ years of technical experience OR Bachelor of Science in related field OR equivalent military experience (applicants with applicable military experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis)Ability to travel – up to 90%, including frequent overnightsMust have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lbDiagnosing and repairing medical devices, electromechanical equipment, or scientific instrumentsField Service Engineering and/or Networking/IT system upgradesA lab or hospital environmentBenefitsPaid time offMedical/dental/vision insurance401(k)Company OverviewLeica Biosystems develops laboratory workflow solutions for anatomic pathology involved in the advancement of cancer diagnostics.
